Some Human Resource/ Administrative Officers, within the Company converged at the Bunso Cocoa College from Thursday 30th to Friday 31st May, 2019 for an HR Conference.

The Conference sought to facilitate discussions around issues pertaining to the Department and synchronize work across the various regions, especially with regard to the interpretation and implementation of the Company’s policies. The meeting also aimed at addressing challenges, founded on mutually agreed conclusions to achieve greater efficiency.

The visibly enthusiastic participants, led by the Human Resource Manager (QCC), Mr. George Oppong, reported to the College on Wednesday 29th May, 2019.

The Rector of the College, Mr. Thomas K. Osei delivered a welcome address to participants and the Deputy Managing Director (QCC), Mr. Peter Atta-Boakye, as Chairman of the Meeting, gave the opening remarks. Also present at the opening was the Vice Rector of the College, Mrs. Rose Owusu-Safo.

The team was delighted to receive the Director, Human Resources/Solicitor Secretary of COCOBOD, Mr Francis Akwasi Opoku, and Mr. Lemuel Ollenu, Deputy Human Resource Manager, CRIG, who joined them during the discussions.

It was not all work and no play! Participants were treated to a closing cocktail party which saw them enjoy great food and music.

This Conference was greatly useful in encouraging team networking as well as ensuring an improved understanding of HR-related matters; it is a giant step in ensuring greater work output. Team HR is, therefore, poised to achieve more!
